The York Area Sports Hall of Fame will soon have three new members.
Basketball player and coach Parrish Petry, bowler Don Smith and boxing coach and promoter Julio Alvarez have been selected for induction for the Class of 2017.
Parrish Petry: Petry, 53, is currently the head coach of the Penn State York men’s basketball team. He formerly coached high school basketball at both West York and Red Lion and was a standout player at both West York High School and Shippensburg University.
