The Dallastown girls’ basketball team provided one of the bigger District 3 upsets on the first night of the Class 6-A tournament on Monday, shocking Gov. Mifflin on the road, 58-43.
The No. 11 Wildcats (13-11) raced out to a 34-18 lead by halftime, scoring 17 points in each of the first two quarters, and then cruised to the surprisingly easy victory over the No. 6 Mustangs (16-8). Dallastown’s win avenged a 52-42 loss to Gov. Mifflin earlier in the season.
