DOVER — Perhaps the most disappointing thing about Wednesday’s clash of girls’ basketball unbeatens is that it happened in December.
If the play on the court says anything about what is to come, however, the York Catholic-Dover showdown may well be a preview of another to come in the York-Adams League Tournament.
While that is way too early to be determined, the action at Dover High School Wednesday was well worth the price of admission. The top players on both sides took turns leading their respective teams in a back-and-forth battle. After York Catholic standout Kate Bauhof connected on a 3-pointer to give her team the lead heading into the fourth quarter, however, Dover’s Rajah Fink made sure her team had the final word.
