EMIGSVILLE — Teams that capture a district championship are often given a reward when entering first-round play in the PIAA state playoffs.
For the District 3 Class 2-A champion Delone Catholic girls’ volleyball team, that certainly was the case.
Not so much for Red Lion, the District 3 Class 4-A champion.
The Squirettes had little trouble with an outclassed Bishop McDevitt squad that came out of District 12 Tuesday night at Central York High School. Delone cruised to an easy 25-6, 25-7, 25-8 triumph.
