Saturday is the York High football team’s final home game of the 2016 York-Adams League season.
As is tradition, that last home game will be Senior Day, a recognition of all the 12th graders on the team, whether they be players, managers, band members or cheerleaders.
Eugene Hillian IV, who was a senior, won’t be there for his Senior Day recognition, but he’ll still be honored.
On Tuesday night, Hillian was shot five times in the chest in the first block of East Maple Street. He was 18 years old. According to York County Coroner Pam Gay’s news release, Hillian’s death was ruled a homicide, while Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the city detective bureau, said that Hillian was “targeted.”
