Red Lion and Central York finished tied for the York-Adams Division I girls’ volleyball championship after earning 3-0 victories on Thursday night.
Both teams finished 10-2 in division action.
Central, however, earned the top seed from D-I for the upcoming league tournament by winning a tiebreaker. In their two head-to-head matches, Central earned a 5-4 edge in games won. Central lost to Red Lion in the first meeting between the teams, 3-2, but won the second meeting, 3-1.
The league tournament begins with quarterfinal action on Monday at Dallastown High School. The match-ups are as follows:
Division I No. 1 seed Central vs. Division III No. 2 seed York Catholic at 6 p.m. (Court 1).
Division III No. 1 seed Delone Catholic vs. Division II No. 3 seed York Suburban at 7:30 p.m. (Court 1).
Division I No. 2 seed Red Lion vs. Division II No. 2 seed Susquehannock at 6 p.m. (Court 2).
Division II No. 1 seed West York vs. Division I No. 3 seed Dallastown at 7:30 p.m. (Court 2).
